Various Arts & Crafts

Other than making jewelry, I enjoy building all kinds of things with wood, clay, glass, fabric, pencils etc. Here is a small list of various kinds of art that I've made over the last 4-5 years. Other than my drawings, skirt and sandals, everything here is for sale as well.

Keychains & Cellphone Straps

A variety of keychains/cellphone straps I've made, with charms, clay, swarovski, metal, gemstones, and glass beads. I'll change a cellphone strap for a chain & clasp and vice versa, free of charge!

AniClay Charms

A collection of little sculpey figures that I've made recently, of animals and anime characters. They are not glossed as I prefer the matte look. The sheep with the crazy eyes, the yellow birds and Yuuka are sold but I can make more. They can be attached to almost anything; cell phones, keychains, backpacks, and as decoration etc. The anime characters are No Face from Spirited Away, Tare Panda on a mushroom, the eyes of Alucard from Hellsing, and 2 Chocobos from Final Fantasy. I'm still quite new to using Sculpey 3, so once I get better at it, have more ideas and more color choices, I'll be making many more of these. I can also make custom ones, as long the design is not too detailed and complicated.

Earrings

A variety of just some of the earrings that I have made. 1-4 are glass daggers (teardrop shaped, but the point changes direction depending on which way you look at it - very neat!) 5,6,8 are silver and 22k gold plated filigree beads. 7 are jasper rectangles. 9 are glass coffee beans! 10 are an unknown stone. 11,12,14 are glass stars. 13 are glass lemons! 15 are unknown. 16,17 are botswana agate. 18 are cultered freshwater pearls. 19 are unknown. 20 are nephrite jade leaves and green glass beads. The ear hooks themselves are sterling silver plated and stlylishly crafted with a certain area of flat silver (look closely at #6 and 11 for an idea)

Baubles

These awesome little pendants are sadly not something that I came up with, but they are so neat that I had to try and make my own! I can make almost anything you want as well; Just send me the pictures* you'd like me to use (should be about 1.6cm from one side to the other) and the preferred colors and style. *Pictures can be drawings, photos, images from computers, magazine clippings, but must have enough color contrast to see the design well enough. This is a Great gift idea!

Geta (Japanese Sandals)

Picture #1: These were incredibly fun to make, and lots of fun to wear. I made them with the items (wood, etc) I had available at the time, although I had all the tools needed to create them at my fingertips. And yes, those are walnuts... Picture #2: are one-toothed tall geta. They are dangerous to walk in, but they are awsome and make you Much taller! I'm very proud of the thongs I made on this one. These were nailed in instead of glued on to better assure they're strength. They have a beautifully-carved piece of deer antler holding the front of the thongs in place underneath, and the pieces at the back tie into a little bow underneath. I'll get better pictures of these one day.

Chainmail Flower

A friend of a friend taught me how to make this lovely flower. They're relatively hard to make at first, but I hope to make more in the future. I've also learned (and forgotten how to) make 6 in 1 Persian chainmail. Once I get the hang of it again, I'll have earrings of that style.

Blue Leopard Skirt

A skirt I made with my grandmother, miraculously, since the woman that cut the fabric for me didn't give me enough, and since my grandmother was making odd mistakes while working on it. Still, I think it came out really well.

Frogs

The last frog that I made before I left home! And my grandmother stole it from me...

Here's a closeup of my yellow/black frog's hind leg. It took me forever to make, but the end result was worth it.

These frogs are what I think are one of my nicest achievements, craftwise. The first 4 frogs (from a total of 5...), including my light blue demo frog. They're about 21 inches square and they're made of two different colors of fabric. They have black beads around the eyes (eyes are made of styrofoam balls wrapped in fabric) and they all have a beaded design on one of their hind legs. I made the pattern from scratch and i'm very proud of them. I guess working in a fabric store for almost a year was of a great advantage!

Pencil Work

An idea for a detailed cross I thought up. I think the fire marks add a nice touch =P.

An old comic I drew of me and a friend from highschool. My general comic-style.

A picture I drew (not from a photo) of my airedale terrier dog taking a rest... RIP. Charly.
